Australian eVisitor Visa

If you are a citizen of an European Country who wishes to travel to Australia, you can apply for an eVisitor Visa.

You can apply for an eVisitor visa online and you will be provided with a confirmation email for your records. Your authorisation will be verified automatically when you check in for your flight to Australia and by an Australian Immigration officer when you arrive.

eVisitor Visas are special subclass tourist and business visa for citizens of European countries. People who wish to take a short trip, whether for business purposes, to visit family and friends, or relax can apply online for an eVisitor Visa, which is valid for three months within a 12-month period.

• Tourism includes holidays, recreation and seeing family and/or friends.
• Business purposes may include attending a conference, negociation or exploratory business visit.

eVisitor Visa Eligible passports

* Holders of a British National Overseas passport are not eligible to apply for an eVisitor Visa.

eVisitor Visa Conditions

If you apply for an eVisitor visa for business purposes, you must not:

• work in Australia except in strictly limited circumstances, for example if the work in higly specialised and non ongoing
• undertake work in Australia that can be done by an Australian citizen or permanent resident

If you apply for an eVisitor visa for tourism purposes, you must not:

• work whilst in Australia. Limited volunteer work may be acceptable.

If you wish to visit Australia for longer than 3 months at one time, you need to apply for a Visitor Visa.
